06/25/11 - Field Day!

We worked 184 contacts in 36 states and 2 Canadian provinces. We could have done more except for the lightning that started up at around 10:30 Saturday night. We resumed operation at 8am Sunday. This year's teaser was a station in the Canadian Maritime that was loud but just didn't hear us amongst the pile up.

80m was nothing but noise. 40m was ok but 15m and 10m was hoppin'.

This year's event was held at the Monticello Airport in the main hanger. Thanks to Sage Air and Monticello Aviation for putting up with us. Buddipole worked very well!

This is the view of the business end of the operation. Our 5 band W9INN dipole is to the right.
