04/21/09 - Chamber of Commerce Expo

Here is this year's Expo setup. K9CFH provided his "Shack in a Box" and portable antenna. It was estimated that 800 -1000 people visited the Expo. We had several members of the group stop by. We also had a number of folks from our served agencies visit.

Tom KC9GIE brought up his CERT go bag for display and helped man the booth with Bill W9XH, Greg K9CFH, Melea KC9PCQ, and Steve KA9SZW.

Here is a close up of Shack-in-a-Box. We were up and running on HF voice and PSK31 and the local repeater in about 10 minutes..

We put the antenna outside on the fire escape where it brought in plenty of DX and US stations.
